Arkon takes series opener at Altoona

The top three hitters in the Akron Aeros lineup went sevenfor 12 with three runs driven in and their pitchers combined to strike out 12 Altoona batters as the Aeros opened a three-game series with a 5-1 win over the Curve Monday night at Peoples Natural Gas Field.
