Christians in central Pennsylvania are joining together to pray 24/7 until they can gather again at their respective churches.

Gathering Pastor Bill Ewing, Calvary Tyrone, shared the initiative with other church leaders in the Tyrone area this week via Tyrone Area Cooperative Ministries. The goal is to have people signed up to pray continuously until churchgoers can gather again in person.

Christian individuals are encouraged to sign up for a one-hour time slot via As of Monday, 248 people from 19 congregations were signed up for 449 hours of prayer each week.

Individuals who are signed up so far as asked to pray on the selected day and time each week, until churches gather again - whenever that may be. Although dates on the sign up may be past dates, people are encouraged to continue to sign up to fill more than 3,000 slots and write their day and time on their own calendars for each week.

Prayer guides in .pdf form are provided at the sign up site each week.

“We are hopeful for a great move of God!” said Dan Nold, Pastor at Calvary State College.
