Hollidaysburg State Police report an incident of harassment by physical contact occurred March 13 at approximately 5:30 p.m. along Cove Forge Road in Woodbury Township. The incident occurred when the victim, a 27-year-old female from North East, Pennsylvania, was struck in the face with a closed fist by the accused, a 34-year-old female from Republic, Pennsylvania.
Clearfield State Police report a crash occurred March 14 just after 6 p.m. along Janesville Pike in Clearfield County east of Cambria Street. A vehicle operated by Courtney E. Powell, 18, of Madera was traveling westbound on Janesville Pike and subsequently entered the eastbound lane of travel. The vehicle then exited the roadway and struck a small tree located off the southern side of the roadway. The vehicle then re-entered the roadway as a result of the impact before exiting the roadway again and struck another tree before coming to final rest facing a northern direction. Powell was transported to UPMC Altoona with a suspected minor injury. The vehicle was towed from the scene. Powell was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
Hollidaysburg State Police report a crash occurred March 13 around 5:45 p.m. on I-99 south at mile marker 25 in Blair Township. A vehicle operated by Travis R. Sellers, 39, of Hollidaysburg was traveling directly behind a vehicle operated by Rex B. Keith, 60, of Farmington Hills, Michigan in the righthand lane of I-99 southbound. Sellers struck the rear end of the Keith vehicle with its front end. This was the point of initial impact. The Keith vehicle continued traveling approximately 150 feet south of the point of initial impact and came to final rest on the right shoulder of the southbound lane. There were no injuries reported. Sellers was cited for traveling too closely.
Hollidaysburg State Police report a violation of a PFA occurred on March 1, between the hours of 6:54 p.m. and 9:39 p.m. along Dalmation Lane in Snyder Township. The accused, a male from Tyrone, contacted the 58-year-old female victim via cellphone in violation of a PFA order.
Hollidaysburg State Police report a crash occurred March 14 just after 12 p.m. on I-99 south at mile marker 37.6 in Logan Township. A vehicle operated by Kristin A Banzhof, 20, of South Williamsport, Pennsylvania was traveling south in the left lane of I-99 just north of mile marker 37.6. Banzhof lost control of the vehicle and crossed over the adjacent south bound lane of travel. The vehicle then exited the right side of the roadway striking an embankment with the passenger side front end. After impact the vehicle overturned an undetermined number of times across the embankment before coming to final rest facing northeast just off the right shoulder of the roadway on the embankment. Branzhof was transported to UPMC Altoona due to injuries sustained as a result of the crash with unknown severity of injuries.
Hollidaysburg State Police recently reported a crash occurred February 3 around 5:45 a.m. along Bedford Street north of Catherine Street in Greenfield Township. A vehicle operated by Joel A. Musselman, 67, of Claysburg was traveling northbound on Bedford Street. Muscleman fell asleep and traveled into the southbound lane of travel and then off of the southbound shoulder. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole with its front end and came to final rest. There were no injuries. Musselman was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
Logan Township Police report a crash occurred March 13 at 11:10 a.m. on Gwin Road near Rider Farm Road in Logan Township. A vehicle operated by Logan P. Koch, 20, of Easton, Pennsylvania was traveling west on Gwin Road and wanted to turn left onto Rider Farm Road. When Koch started to turn left, he short cut the turn and hit a vehicle operated by Eric T. Quigley, 20, of New Hope, Pennsylvania that was stopped at a stop sign on Rider Farm Road. There were no injuries. Koch was cited for careless driving-general.
Logan Township Police report a violation of the Drug Act occurred March 14 around 12:48 a.m. along East Pleasant Valley Blvd. and Kettle Street. Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with an unlit driving lamp proceeding southbound on E. Pleasant Valley Blvd. The operator of the vehicle, Shawn A. Jackson, 38, of Altoona, was in possession of a baggie containing a small amount of heroin. Jackson is being charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
