The Tyrone Area Middle School students and teachers participated in the first marking period SOAR assembly on Friday, November 8.

The theme of the assembly was “Ninja Warrior,” and teams of students and teachers competed against each other in athletic and trivia events. Students also had the opportunity to enter SOAR tickets that they had earned into a raffle in order to win other prizes in between rounds. In the end, the student team had scored the most points to win the first ever SOAR Ninja Warrior.

Eigth grade students commented that the activities in the assembly were really fun and that they appreciate the time and effort that the staff members put in to make these events possible.

The SOAR assemblies are enjoyed by students and staff alike, and we are all looking forward to the remaining assemblies throughout the school year.
