Student athletes and marching band members were recognized during a pep rally Friday afternoon, Sept. 27, at Tyrone Area Middle School. This was the first pep rally for many of our students. The event began with some songs by the band, as 5th through 8th graders entered the gymnasium.

Next, participants in each fall sport were called down for recognition before playing games and answering trivia questions. The event emphasized togetherness as a community.

Students were encouraged to show their school pride by wearing orange and black and to SOAR. Part of the school-wide positive behavior initiative, SOAR means: Strive for success. Observe safety. Act with integrity. Respect all.
