Tyrone Police on Feb. 6 responded to Shippen Street and the surrounding area after reports of a male rummaging on properties, and attempting to enter vehicles.
Andrew Golden, 34, of Tyrone was reportedly rummaging through items at the rear of a victim’s residence around 3:45 a.m. The victim reportedly told Golden to leave and he left on foot from the scene.
According to a police report, Golden attempted to then enter three vehicles along Shippen Street, and damaged one of the vehicles by using a metal lawnmower blade to strike a mirror. Damage was estimated to be more than $480.
Police reportedly located Golden walking along Washington Avenue and said it was immediately apparent he was agitated. Golden was arrested and was identified by effected victims.
Golden was charged and was arraigned by the on-call District Magistrate. Bail was set at $5,000 cash. Unable to post bail, Golden was committed to Blair County Prison.
