Jessica Lee Sprankle, 33, of West 15th Street in Tyrone faces charges from a February 10 incident when she allegedly punched her boyfriend in the face.
Tyrone Police were dispatched around 1:30 a.m. that morning for a physical domestic. On scene, Sprankle informed police that she and her boyfriend had been involved in an altercation. Sprankle said that they had been arguing when the victim placed his hand near her chest, as if he was going to push her. Sprankle said that she then punched him in the face. Sprankle was observed with blood splatter on her face.
The victim confirmed that he and Sprankle had been arguing. He told police that Sprankle had punched him in the face twice. He was observed with a bloodied lip and redness around his nose.
Sprankle was arraigned February 10 by an on-call district magisterial judge. She was placed on $2,500 unsecured bail. A preliminary hearing is set for February 14 at 9 a.m. before Magisterial District Judge Fred Miller. Charges include misdemeanor simple assault with summary harassment.
