Frank M. Vingless, 70, of Tyrone died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2021 at UPMC Altoona.
He was born Jan. 22, 1951 in Coupon, a son of Michael Joseph and Sophie Vingless.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary F. Pellegrini of Altoona, Natasha B. Hampton and husband, Bobby, of Carrolltown; two grandchildren; Macy and Maura Pellegrini; two sisters, Marie Lansberry of Osceola Mills, Sophie Sprankle of Morann; and a brother, Mike Tomko of Houtzdale. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and John Vingless; and a sister, Helen Johnson.
Frank retired in 2010 from Norfolk Southern as a pipe fitter and welder following 32 years service.
He was a member of the Howard Gardner American Legion, Tyrone and was a 1969 graduate of Moshannon Valley High School.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving from 1971-1975 on Assault Craft Unit Two.
Frank enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and his dog Daisy. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and playing his guitar.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021 at 3 p.m. at Feller Memorial Home. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of services.
