Thomas E. Hedberg Sr., 70, Sinking Valley, died Monday at his residence.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Carl N. and Helen M. (Claybaugh) Hedberg. On Sept. 8, 1988, he married Cindy R. Bennett in Virginia.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Tobi Munshower and husband, Les, of Clearfield, and Shawni in Florida; two sons, Eric N. Bennett and wife, Patti, of Tyrone, and Thomas Hedberg Jr. in Florida; five grandchildren, Lincoln, Tessa and Logan Munshower, and Connor and Aidan Bennett; and two brothers, Carl R. Hedberg and wife, Sharon, of Sinking Valley, and David E. Hedberg and wife, Ann, in Virginia.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Hedberg.
He worked for 37 years for Norfolk Southern as a conductor and engineer.
Thomas was an avid fisherman and especially enjoyed his fishing trips to Canada with his friends. He enjoyed woodworking and loved his pets, especially his wiener dog.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019, at Feller Memorial Home, Tyrone. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, at the funeral home, Pastor Eric Schafer officiating.
