Haley Schmidt slugged two home runs, but the Bellwood-Antis softball team fell to West Branch, 4-3, on Wednesday afternoon.

Schmidt drove in all three runs for the Lady Blue Devils. Gabriella Finn and Morgan Myers added a double.

Schmidt allowed four unearned runs and four hits in the loss. She walked one and struck out five.

Bellwood-Antis finished the regular season at 8-12. The Lady Blue Devils earned the seventh seed in the District 6 Class 2A playoffs and will travel to No. 2 Marion Center on Monday at 4 p.m. in the quarterfinals.
