District 6 released playoff brackets for baseball and softball on Tuesday.
Tyrone baseball earned the top seed in the Class 3A Tournament and will be hosting No. 8 Penns Valley on Monday at 4 p.m.
Also in Class 3A, No. 2 Forest Hills hosts No. 7 Central, while third-seeded Richland will entertain No. 6 Philipsburg-Osceola, and No. 4 Mount Union hosts No. 5 Ligonier Valley. All games are on Monday at 4 p.m.
In Class 2A baseball, Bellwood-Antis earned the seventh seed and will travel to No. 2 Southern Huntingdon in a district championship rematch from last year on Monday at 4 p.m.
Also on Monday in 2A baseball, top-seeded West Shamokin hosts No. 8 Northern Cambria. Bishop Guilfoyle earned the third seed and hosts No. 6 Claysburg-Kimmel, while fourth-seeded Portage hosts No. 5 Homer Center.
Tyrone softball picked up the third seed in the 4-team Class 4A Tournament and visits No. 2 Cambria Heights in the semifinals on Thursday, May 23. Also that day, top-seeded Johnstown hosts No. 4 Bellefonte in the other semifinal.
Bellwood-Antis softball got the No. 7 seed and visits second-seeded Marion Center on Monday at 4 p.m. Bishop McCort earned the first seed and will host United. Southern Huntingdon is No. 3 and hosts sixth-ranked Blairsville, while fourth-seeded Northern Cambria entertains No. 5 West Shamokin.
The baseball championship games will be on May 28 at Peoples Natural Gas Field in Altoona, while the softball championships are set for May 29 and 30 at Saint Francis University.
