Tyrone’s McKenzie Latchford has been named The Daily Herald’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending on May 11.

Latchford won two events at last week’s Mountain League meet in the 100 meter dash and also running a leg in the 4 x 100 meter relay.

“She’s been awesome,” said Tyrone head coach Brad Kanuch. “Any time I have a gymnast coming out, I always get excited because their mentality is awesome. She’s had a great mentality all year and that’s been able to help her get better each meet. She’s been each meet too, which has been awesome.”
