Carrie Kephart


Mutual Benefit Group is pleased to announce the promotion of Carrie Kephart of Philipsburg to product manager.

Kephart will be responsible for leading the development, enhancement and maintenance of property and casualty insurance products with shared responsibilities for growth and profitability. This includes analysis of demographics, competitors and regulatory statutes to create recommendations and proposals for all aspects of product development.

Kephart’s insurance career spans 26 years, all of which have been spent in the Commercial Lines Department at Mutual Benefit Group. She joined Mutual Benefit in 1992 as a rater and then became a commercial lines underwriting technician. She moved to a premium audit technician position before becoming premium audit administrator.

During her last 17 years in the department, she has served as commercial lines product and pricing manager and as commercial lines executive Underwriter. A graduate of Juniata College with a degree in business administration, Kephart has earned the following insurance industry designations from The Institutes®: Associate in Insurance Data Analytics (AIDA); Associate in Reinsurance (ARe); Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU); Associate in Insurance Services (AIS); and the Certificate in General Insurance (AINS). She has also earned the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation from the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research.
