Alan Seeger Road bridge rehab work, detour to begin Thursday
JACKSON TWP. — PennDOT has announced that prime contractor Redrock Construction Inc. of Lewistown will begin work on Route 1023 (Alan Seeger Road) for a bridge superstructure replacement project.
Beginning Thursday, May 16, the roadway will be detoured. The 19-mile detour route will follow: Route 1023 (Alan Seeger Road), Route 1025 (Weiler Road), Route 305 towards Greenwood Furnace State Park, to Rag Hollow Road, to Seeger Road, and Stone Creek Road.
Overall work on this project will consist of replacing the bridge superstructure along with repairs to the existing substructure. The roadway approaches will also be reconstructed, and new guiderail will be placed.
All work on this $340,491 project is expected to be completed by late September.
