A story in the Nov. 20 edition of The Daily News incorrectly stated goody bags would be provided to those who visit the Huntingdon Community Soup Kitchen at the Presbyterian Church Thanksgiving Day Thursday, Nov. 26.

Michelle Rupert, one of the soup kitchen’s coordinators, said meals will be available for take-out only beginning at 5 p.m. Thanksgiving Day, but goody bags will not be provided.

The Thanksgiving meal will include turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and other traditional Thanksgiving foods. While the meal will be prepackaged and ready before delivery, people will have a chance to choose their desert.

The meal is open to anyone and both state and CDC guidelines will be followed to keep everyone safe.

Rupert asks folks to call or text her at (814) 599-4700 with their name and the number of meals they would like by 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23. People can also go to huntingdonsoupkitchen.com to register as well.

Staff writer Kylie Young regrets the error.
