Cruelty to animals

HENDERSON TWP. — State police at Huntingdon report a 41-year-old Huntingdon man neglected to keep a clean and sanitary shelter for two dogs at 9356 Main St. at 12:05 p.m. Jan. 9. Charges were filed against the accused.

PORTER TWP. — State police at Huntingdon investigated a report of cruelty to animals that took place on Northbound and Four Wheel drives at 7:54 p.m. Dec. 30. Police report the state Game Commission responded to a report of a deceased animal found near the parking area Dec. 3. Game Commission officers found a deceased black Lab mix wearing a collar and a teal-colored leash. The collar had the word “woof” written on it. The dog appeared to have been killed at that location and buried under rocks. Anyone with information regarding this case should contact state police at Huntingdon at 627-3161.


CASS TWP. — Troy Kylor of Cassville reported to state police at Huntingdon an unknown actor removed a catalytic converter from his Ford F-250 Supercab pickup truck between Dec. 20-25 at 17851 Jacobs Road. Anyone with information regarding this incident should contact state police at Huntingdon at 627-3161. The catalytic converter is valued at $300.


SMITHFIELD TWP. — State police at Huntingdon investigated a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of William Penn Highway and South Fourth Street at 4:44 p.m. Jan. 9. Catherine Keith, 68, Huntingdon, was operating a 2018 Buick Enclave south on South Fourth Street and was attempting to make a right-hand turn when she crashed into a 2017 International Trailer TT operated by Mark Kling, 61, James Creek, who was traveling west on William Penn Highway. Neither operator was injured and both were wearing seat belts.
