ORBISONIA BORO. — State police at Huntingdon report Natalio Mendoza, 19, Orbisonia, along with a 17-year-old male and a 16-year-old male, both of Orbisonia, were involved in an assault on Water Street at 1:48 p.m. April 27. During the assault, one of the victims was punched, kicked and stabbed and, as a result, he suffered an ankle and stab wound and was treated at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital. The other male victim suffered minor injuries. The victims involved included a 40-year-old male and a 23-year-old male, both of Orbisonia.

CASS TWP. — A 21-year-old Cass Township man reported to state police an interference with custody of children that occurred at 6 p.m. May 10 on Beavertown Road.
HENDERSON TWP. — State police at Huntingdon investigated a two-vehicle crash on William Penn Highway west of Trough Creek Valley Pike at 3:48 a.m. May 12. An unnamed operator was driving a 2000 Volkswagen Jetta behind a 2000 Ford E-250 that was stopped at the intersection of Trough Creek Valley Pike and William Penn Highway. The Volksagen struck the Ford in the rear, causing damage to the 12 o’clock position of the Volkswagen and the six o’clock position of the Ford. Both vehicles were able to be driven from the scene. The operator of the Volkswagen will be cited for following too closely. No injuries were reported.
DUBLIN TWP. — State police at Huntingdon investigated a two-vehicle crash on Croghan Pike north of Neelyton Road at 12:08 a.m May 11. Karen Mellott, 68, Shade Gap, was operating a 1999 Subaru Legacy north when the vehicle traveled into the southbound lane and struck a 2019 International HX operated by Louis Camphor Jr., 72, Williamsport, who was traveling south. As a result, the Subaru then struck a ditch on the southbound side of the road, and it suffered major damage as a result. The International suffered minor damage. Mellott was treated by Orbisonia-Rockhill Ambulance for minor injuries. Camphor was not injured. Both operators were wearing seat belts. Mellott will be cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
ORBISONIA BORO. — State police at Huntingdon investigated a two-vehicle crash on Ridgely Street south of Elliot Street at 8:10 a.m. May 10. An unnamed operator driving a 2014 Nissan Sentra was traveling north while the operator was drinking a soda, causing them to be distracted, and they didn’t see a 2002 Ford Windstar operated by an unnamed operator who was stopped at a red light. As a result, the operator of the Nissan failed to stop and struck the Ford. Both vehicles suffered minor damage and were able to be driven from the scene. NO injuries were reported. The operator of the Nissan will be cited for careless driving.
SMITHFIELD TWP. — State police at Huntingdon investigated a two-vehicle crash at the parking lot of Walmart at 12:02 p.m. May 11. Regina Boyd, 61, Alexandria, was operating a 2009 Toyota Camry when an unknown person in an unnamed vehicle crashed into the Toyota. No injuries were reported.
TODD TWP. — State police at Huntingdon investigated a one-vehicle crash on Old Plank Road east of Bunn Mountain Road at 5:51 p.m. May 12. Mara Massaro, 23, Roaring Spring, was operating a 2007 Ford 500 when the vehicle struck an embankment, causing damage to the vehicle. Massaro and two passengers, Michael Snyder, 24, Carlisle, and a 3-year-old male child were not injured. The operator and passengers were properly restrained in safety devices. Massaro will be cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
SHIRLEY TWP. — State police at Huntingdon investigated a one-vehicle crash on Beacon Lodge Road at 2:09 a.m. May 11. Seth Clemens, 27, McVeytown, was operating a 2014 Chevrolet west when the vehicle exited its lane of travel and struck a utility pole. After impact, the vehicle spun in a clockwise direction and came to final rest facing west in the eastbound lane. Clemens fled the scene. It is unknown if he was injured. He will be cited for restrictions on alcoholic beverages.
PENN TWP. — State police at Huntingdon investigated a two-vehicle crash on Raystown Road south of Seven Points Road at 6:28 p.m. May 9. Alexis Thompson, 31, James Creek, was operating a 2013 Toyota Sienna and was attempting to cross Raystown Road from Seven Points Road when it struck a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze operated by Matthew Stoudnour, 40, Saxton, who was traveling south. The Chevrolet Cruze then spun out and struck a utility pole on the right side of the roadway in the southbound direction. No injuries were reported and both operators were wearing seta belts. Thompson will be cited for stop signs and yield signs.
UNION TWP. — State police at Huntingdon were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash at Happy Hills Road and Trough Creek Valley Pike at 8:10 p.m. May 5. Through investigation, it was determined the operator, a 62-year-old Huntingdon man, was under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. The operator was transported to J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital for a blood draw.
