Calvary Christian Academy held its annual awards assembly on Wednesday, June 2. Students in grades 1 — 12 were recognized for their achievements in academics, Christian citizenship, neatest desk, and music.
The faculty and staff presented awards to their students.
Lyra Schroeder presented awards to her first grade students. Honorable Mention certificates (which included students who received A’s and B’s, and not more than one C) were presented to Laurel Bunker and Aryanna Zannino. Honor roll certificates (which included students who received all A’s and B’s) went to Grant Feaster, Carston Lapp, and Ayson Wilson. A high honor roll certificate (which included students who had all A’s) was awarded to Leah Cramer.
The reading certificate w as presented to Marit Pongracz. The penmanship certificate was given to Katy Donnelly. The math certificate was presented to Collin Lane. The courtesy medallion went to Collin Lane.
Academic medallions (presented to elementary students with an average of 96 or above) were give n to Amelia Allison, Adelaide Brehm, Katy Donnelly, and Collin Lane. The highest academic average trophy was presented to Marit Pongracz. The neatest desk trophy went to Collin Lane. Amelia Allis on was awarded the Christian Citizenship trophy.
Second grade teacher Linell Martin presented honor roll certificates to Alexia Baker, Mahala Brehm, Ryan Brubaker, Hattie Everetts, Jay Schroeder, Maya Weaver, and Adam Wekke. High Honor Roll certificates were presented to William Anderson, Robert Beck, and Harper Kanagy.
The reading certificate went to Heath Keller and the math certificate was presented to Gunner Hetrick. The penmanship certificate was given to Rosalyn Brantner . The courtesy medallion went to William Anderson.

Jackie Allison presented awards to her third grade class. An Honorable mention certificate was awarded to MacKenzie Bonin. Kairi Reed earned an honor roll certificate. High honor roll certificates w ere given to Jonah Anders and Israel Medina.

The highest academic av erage trophy was awarded to Lydia Lane. The neatest desk trophy was given to Erin Donnelly. The Christian citizenship trophy was also awarded to Erin Donnelly.
Fourth grade teacher Mark Ayers presented honorable mention certificates to Shantae Lapp and Avigayle Mickey. An honor roll certificate was earned by Rachael Beck. A high honor roll certificate was given to Seth Brehm.
The reading and math certificates were given to Jethro Schroeder. The penmanship certificate was given to Avigayle Mickey. The courtesy medallion was presented to Alyssa Shawver.

Jake Lane gave awards to his fifth and sixth grade class. Honorable mention certificates were given to Jacob Anders and Ava Fox. Receiving honor roll certificates were Dakota Bonin, Vanner Henney, Wyatt Hetrick, Alyssa Medina, Olivia Mills, Jalyssa Palmer, Gabriel Schroeder, and Jackson Suttles. Aubrey Anderson, Nora Cahill, Sarah Donnelly, and Shakia Lapp received high honor roll certificates. Corey Bliss (Gr. 5) and Nicole Ranck (Gr. 6) each earned a reading and math certificate. Olivia Mills (Gr. 5) and Nicole Ranck (Gr. 6) received penmanship certificates.
The courtesy medallion was presented to Aubrey Anderson. Vanner Henney earned the neatest desk trophy. The highest academic average trophy was presented to Corey Bliss for fifth grade and Nicole Ranck for sixth grade. The Christian citizenship trophy was awarded to Jackson Suttles .
Secretary Susan Kauruter presented awards for the annual Race for Education fundraiser. Two students, Nicole Ranck and Lucas Montoro received monetary awards for donations they raised. Twenty students in grades K5 — 12 were awarded trophies for their participation in the annual Race for Education event.
Music teacher Sarah Feaster presented awards to the top music students. Receiving music certificates on the elementary level were Amelia Allison, Bradley Suttles, Erin Donnelly, Aden Pongracz, Nora Cahill, and Olivia Mills.
Receiving music medallions on the high school level were William Rucker and Nathan Slippey .
Feaster, who is also the seventh and eighth grade homeroom teacher, presented awards to the following students. An honorable mention certificate was given to Hannah Lloyd. Earning honor roll certificates were Everett Cahill, Jaleena Kurnas, Micah Lloyd, William Rucker, and Bethany Suttles. High honor roll certificates were presented to Maddie Ayers, Lael Corbin, Sarah Hetrick, William Lane, Ashlyn Lapp, and Eva Penning. An a cademic medallion (presented to high school students with an overall percentage of 94 or above) went to Ashlyn Lapp.
Superior academic average trophies (presented to high school students with an overall percentage of 96 or above) were awarded to Maddie Ayers, Lael Corbin Sarah Hetrick, William Lane, and Eva Penning.
Ainhoa Cahill, the ninth and tenth grade homeroom teacher, presented awards to her students. Bethany Lane, Macayla Mills, and Lucas Montoro each received an honorable mention certificate. Honor roll certificates were presented to Isabelle Anderson, Katrina Donnelly, Tyrell Lapp, and Emily Suttles .
Academic medallions were a warded to Kya Kuhstos and Passion Myers. The superior academic average trophy was awarded to Rachelle Yoder.
Becky Baldwin recognized the students who participated in the Envirothon competition in the spring.
Baldwin also presented awards to her eleventh and twelfth grade homeroom students. Honorable mention certificates were presented to Vanessa Andrews and Hannah Detterline. Honor roll certificates were earned by Olivia Harman, Shayna Hawthorne, Case Ruby, and Nathan Slippey. High honor roll certificates were given to Lexis Corbin, Graci Ehresman, Samantha Montoro, and Lauren Peachey.

Principal Donald Kidd presented the Courtesy and Christian Citizenship trophies. Courtesy awards were given to Isabelle Anderson and Shayna Hawthorne. Christian were presented to junior high student Lael Corbin, and high school student Emily Suttles.
Special recognition was given to the school and church secretaries. Brenda Garman has completed 11 years of service and Cindy Gillam has 20 years of service in various positions in the church/school.
Patty Reihart was recognized for over 30 years of service to CCA in various capacities. Mona Harman was also given recognition for her 10 years of service as the Monday lunch coordinator.
