Members and friends of the First Baptist Church of Three Springs enjoyed a luncheon at the Pizza Star II restaurant on Wednesday, Nov. 13. Gay Fleck asked for prayer requests and Pastor Todd Griest offered prayer and blessings prior to the meal.

Celebrating a November birthday was Betty Lou Covert. All enjoyed singing birthday wishes to “Bea!” Marge Rupert prepared and served a delicious birthday cake for dessert.

Those attending the luncheon fellowship included: Pastor Todd Griest, Betty Lou Covert, Marge Rupert, Carole Gracey, Ann Norris, Jerry Norris, Mildred Brown, Lou Smith, Bob Smith, Cora Fisher, Gay Fleck, Marcia Kuhns, Sheryl Flick, Patty Scott, Delores Donelson, Linda Donelson, Jacob Gurd, Bobbi Jo Walker-Gurd, and Amanda Gurd. Prior to the lunch, many had attended the weekly Bible study held at the Church.

Last Sunday, the church received a blessing from hosting a free spaghetti meal for the community. Over 100 people attended the event, including members of the local fire company, the ambulance services, and veterans. All were thanked for their services.

“Thank You for 43 Years!” — This coming Sunday, Nov. 17, the First Baptist Church of Three Springs will be honoring Rev. David Ford with an Open House reception at the church social hall from 1–3 p.m. Ford will be celebrated and honored for serving 43 years as Pastor of the Church. All are invited to join in thanking and greeting Ford and his wife, Valerie.
