An old-fashioned “southern camp meeting” in the north, under the direction of the Rev. Owen Held, will be held at Emmanuel Bible Church Monday, Jan. 21.

This one-day event will bless and encourage you in the Lord with “old-fashioned” singing, special music, testimonies and old-fashioned “revival” preaching.

The times of the services will be at 3 p.m., 4:15 p.m., 7 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. Every one is invited “to chase away the chill of these winter days” by attending these “heart-warming services” and allowing the Lord to “speak to your heart.” A meal will be served at 5:30 p.m.

The speakers for the day are the Rev. John Leatherman, the Rev. Kenny Heath, evangelist Donnie Pollard and the Rev. George Alquist. EBC’s pastor, the Rev. Greg Harven, and the congregation extend a warm and friendly invitation to all.

Emmanuel Bible Church is located on Route 26 South, just past the Walmart entrance.

Other churches in the area hosting the “camp meeting” for a day are: Tuesday, Jan. 22, the preachers will be at Old Fashioned Baptist Church in Lewistown; Wednesday, Jan. 23, the services are at Cedar Crest Independent Baptist Church at Mount Union; Thursday, Jan. 24, the meetings will be at Faith Baptist Church at Beaver Springs; and Friday, Jan. 25, Dry Run Independent Baptist Church of Duncansville is the host church. Other speakers during the week include: the Rev. Charlie Hicks, evangelist Leon Foote, the Rev. Owen Held and the Rev. David Foote.
