Betty R. McMahon, 95, 8202 Standing Stone Road, Huntingdon, died at 7:36 a.m. Monday, May 18, 2020, at AristaCare at Huntingdon Park, Huntingdon.

Born Aug. 6, 1924, in Huntingdon, she was a daughter of the late Cloyd and Margaret (Jackson) Blair. She was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” McMahon June 12, 1947. He preceded her in death in May 1979.

Surviving are her daughters, Barbara R. Hawbaker, Petersburg, and Betty L. Younker and husband, Dennis, Huntingdon; grandchildren, Ada Hawbaker and husband, Monty, Petersburg, G. Robert Hawbaker and wife, Theresa, Huntingdon, Brian Hawbaker and wife, Donna, Huntingdon, Caleb Younker, Huntingdon, and Amanda St. Laurent and husband, Keefe, McCloud, Oklahoma; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

The last surviving member of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by sisters Marie Rankin and Margaret L. Glenny and brothers John H. Blair and James E. Blair.

Mrs. McMahon was a member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.

She was also a member of the Donation Cemetery Committee, the Wesley Chapel Pastor-Parsonage Relations and other church committees.

Mrs. McMahon graduated from Huntingdon High School with the class of 1943.

She was first employed at Huntingdon Machine Shop, then at Bonney Forge until her retirement.

Mrs. McMahon enjoyed gardening, canning and especially time with her family.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, all services at this time will be private at the convenience of the family. The Rev. Randall Wright will officiate. Interment will be made in Donation Cemetery, Huntingdon.

Arrangements are under the direction of Robert E. Peters Funeral Home, Huntingdon.
