David Edward Itinger, 85, son of the late Harry Frederick Itinger and Eleanor Jane Porter, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021.
He is survived by his wife Trudy Bollman, daughters Wendy Hunter and husband, Michael, Elizabeth Hrenko and husband, Tony, Laurie Warner, granddaughters Barbara Hrenko (Matt Mann), Megan McAllister (Tommy), Rachel Itinger (Tyler Townsend), and great-granddaughter Analise McAllister, stepdaughter Lynn Heltzel (Jeff), grandsons Shane and Daniel Heltzel and Hunter Bollman.
Also surviving are two sisters Arlene Page, Columbia, Maryland, and Kathy Oliver, Warminster.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Ann Bonsell, a brother, Richard Itinger and a stepson, Steven Bollman.
He was a private in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Knox.
Mr. Itinger was a truck driver for most of his life, retiring from Cerro Metals in Bellefonte.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. Affectionately known as “Big Ed,” he was an avid woodworker and gardener who enjoyed painting, rides in the mountains and camping.
