Dorcas L. Morgan, 94, Mount Union, passed away Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019, at Westminster Woods, Huntingdon.

Born May 31, 1925, Mount Union, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Frances (Whitney) Pollock. She was united in marriage to Eugene G. Morgan, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Morgan is survived by her daughter-in-law, Christine Morgan, Mount Union; granddaughters, Heather Redding and Melissa Powers, both of Delaware; and three great-grandchildren, Ridge, Riley and Ryan.

A sister, Frances Cramer, Mount Union, also survives.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Eugene Jr. and Gerald “Jerry” Morgan; brothers, Franklin, Orthello, Jay, Blain, Earl and Ralph Pollock; and sisters, Lois Hausman, Betty Booth, Ressic Handfield, Hazel Galbraith and Violet Hazard.

Mrs. Morgan was a member of the Mount Union Presbyterian Church.

She and her husband owned and operated Morgan Hardware and Morgan Plumbing & Heating in Mount Union until their retirement.

She loved hunting, fishing, the great outdoors, gardening, having family outings, dogs and being a devoted mother and grandmother.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, at Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Mount Union, with the Rev. Beverly Skopic officiating. Interment will be made in the Mount Union Cemetery.

Friends and family will be received 6-8 p.m. today, Monday, Sept. 9, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mount Union Presbyterian Church or to the Mount Union Community Library.
