Emma Rebecca (Hoover) Harris, 90, of Meadow View Nursing Center in Berlin, formerly of Saxton and Michigan, passed away Monday, June 29, 2020, at Meadow View.
Born in Saxton, Bedford County, Sept. 7, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Fred W. and Verna E. (Frederick) Hoover. She was united in marriage to Albert Harris July 1, 1954, in Three Springs. Mr. Harris preceded her in death onAug. 21, 2018.
She is survived by a son, Robert Allen Harris of Saxton.
Also surviving is one sister,Thelma Salsgiver, a sister-in-law, Leona Hoover, both of Saxton, two brothers, Charles Hoover and wife, Hully, of Hollidaysburg, Junior Hoover and wife, June, Saxton, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Watson, and a brother, Jimmie Hoover of Saxton.
Mrs. Harris was a member of the Brethren in Christ Church in Saxton.
She attended the Saxton-Liberty Schools.
During her life she was primarily a homemaker and enjoyed listening to Christian radio and music, loved animals, as well as sharing family history as family was very important to her.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc., Broad Top City with the Rev. Jeff Musser officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service.
