George W. Kling, 79, Mount Union, Shirley Township, passed away Thursday, Nov. 28, 2019, at his home following a brief illness with cancer.

Born July 25, 1940, Manor Hill, he was a son of the late James A. and Esther R. (Haulman) Kling. He was united in marriage to the former Judy McMullen, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Kling is survived by his children, Jeffrey Kling and Laura Scott; stepchildren, Jennifer Miller and Chelsey Mallon; and numerous grandchildren.

He is also survived by three brothers, Clyde, David and Henry Kling; and a sister, Helen Behr

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Georgia Reese.

Mr. Kling was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served during the Vietnam War.

He was a member of the Blue Juniata VFW Post 5754 and the Simpson Hunt American Legion Post 107, both of Mount Union.

Mr. Kling was a 1958 graduate of Juniata Valley High School.

He retired as a sales manager for County Homes after 25 years.

At Mr. Kling’s request, all services will be private. Inurnment will be made in the Alexandria Presbyterian Cemetery.
