Kimberly G. Geissinger, 56, of 11739 Snyder’s Run Road, Huntingdon, died Monday, Dec. 2, 2019, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Born Aug. 16, 1963, in Huntingdon, she was a daughter of Barry S. Harper of Latta Grove and the late Bonnie K. (Kyler) Harper. She married Robert L. Geissinger Jr. Sept. 26, 1981. Mr. Geissinger survives at their home.
Along with her father and husband, she is survived by two children, Claire Geissinger and Ryan R. Geissinger, both at home.
Also surviving is her dearest friend, Teresa Cornelius of North Carolina, as well as numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother and grandparents, Jess and Agnes (Greenland) Kyler and a number of aunts and uncles.
Mrs. Geissinger had been a member of the Latta Grove Methodist Church.
She was a 1981 graduate of Southern Huntingdon County High School and a 2003 graduate of Juniata College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in English.
Mrs. Geissinger worked as postmistress for the United States Post Office in Newton Hamilton.
She enjoyed cooking, flower gardening and especially taking care of her family.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at the Robert E. Peters Funeral Home, Huntingdon, with the Rev. Ann Foor officiating. Interment will be made in Bowman’s Chapel Cemetery, Mapleton.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, and from 9 a.m. until the hour of services Friday.
