Lamar D. Rhodes, 69, of McVeytown, went to be with the Lord Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019 at his home.
Born Aug. 26, 1949 in Lewistown, Mifflin County, he was a son of the late Harold L. and Rachel (Kinsel) Rhodes.
Mr. Rhodes is survived by a sister, Kathleen R. Hartley and husband, Edward, of Lewistown; a brother, Loren K. Rhodes and wife, Donna, of Huntingdon; and several nieces and nephews.
A retired farmer, Mr. Rhodes was a very active member of the Spring Run Church of the Brethren and the Homebuilders Sunday School Class in McVeytown where he was a deacon and served on numerous committees.
He enjoyed hunting, and was an avid sports fan.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at the Spring Run Church of the Brethren with the Revs. Craig and Kate Gandy officiating. Interment will be made in Spring Run Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the church.
