Milford R. Fortney, 58, of Germany Valley Road, Mount Union, danced his way into heaven Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019.
Born Dec. 3, 1960, in Huntingdon, he was a son of Linda (Wagner) Fortney who survives of Mount Union and the late Harry J. Fortney.
He is also survived by two children, Natalie Estep and husband, Aaron, of Mount Union, and Franklin Fortney of East Waterford, and three grandchildren, Kendra Estep, Kadence Estep and Colby Fortney.
Also surviving are three siblings, Kathy Inch and Donald Fortney, both of Mount Union, and Harry Fortney of Broad Top.
Mr. Fortney was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve.
He was a member of Blue Juniata VFW Post 5754, Mount Union, the Sinnemahoning Sportsman’s Association, the Newton-Wayne Sportsman’s Club and was a social member of the Mill Creek Volunteer Fire Co.
Mr. Fortney had been employed at Bonney Forge Inc., Mount Union, for the past 24 years.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15, at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, with the Rev. Clarence Fortney officiating. Interment will be made at Haven Rest Memorial Park, Shirleysburg.
Friends may call at the funeral home 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, and one hour prior to the service Friday.
