Missouri Louise Seager

Missouri Louise Seager, 86, of 6811 Barree Road, Alexandria, Logan Township, died at 1:57 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 2019, at AristaCare at Huntingdon Park, Huntingdon.

Born Sept. 19, 1933, in State College, Centre County, she was a daughter of the late Reynolds and Ruth (Judy) Fitzgerald. She was united in marriage to Charles Robert Seager June 4, 1955, in the UCC Christ Reformed Church, Alexandria. Mr. Seager preceded her in death Feb. 12, 2004.

Mrs. Seager is survived by a son and daughter, Charles R. Seager Jr. and Tamara Beck and husband, Ken, all of Alexandria; six grandchildren, Derek Allison, Paige Allison and fiancé, Keith Price, Annissa Seager, Briana Valentine and husband, Ethan, Dave Beck and wife, Beth, and Kayla Harnish and husband, Austin; and five great-grandchildren, Landen Allison, Aubrey Wagner, Sienna McMullen, Ashlee Beck and Leah Beck.

She is also survived by two brothers, George Fitzgerald and wife, Bev, and Ralph Fitzgerald and wife, Joan, all of Alexandria; two sisters, Evelyn Chilcote of Mechanicsburg and Nancy Banks of Belleville; a brother-in-law, Jim Bilger of James Creek; and Maryann Fitzgerald of Alexandria.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jane Bilger, and brother, Jesse Fitzgerald.

Mrs. Seager was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Petersburg.

She was a graduate of Juniata Valley High School and went on to secretarial school.

Mrs. Seager retired after working for a long number of years at the former Unitas National Bank in Petersburg. She then worked at the Blair Building.

A longtime resident of Huntingdon County, she enjoyed dancing at the Hootenanny and the Red Barn in Mill Creek. She also went to and organized several bus trips for the Juniata Valley Senior Center and enjoyed spending her evenings with her sister-in-law, MaryAnn, watching Family Feud. She also loved her cats.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, at the Cutright Funeral Homes — Smithfield Chapel, 313 Fairgrounds Road, Huntingdon, with her brother, George Fitzgerald, officiating. Interment will be made in the Mooresville Cemetery, Petersburg, R.R.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-3 p.m. Sunday.
