Paul Richard Weaver, 80, of Bethlehem, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2019 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Anderson Campus.
Born March 5, 1939, in Montoursville, Lycoming County, he was a son of the late Earl R. and Elverda M. (Fry) Weaver. He was the beloved husband of the former Evelyn Frye. They would have celebrated 56 years of marriage July 4.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Kevin Weaver and wife, Sally;and a grandson, Cade Weaver.
He is also survived by brothers, Earl “Robert” and Larry Weaver.
Mr. Weaver honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy.
He worked as a Safety Training Manager for PP&L for many years before retiring.
Mr. Weaver was a volunteer for the Little League World Series serving as a team uncle and working with teams from all around the world. He received the Howard Hartman Little League Friendship Award in 2009. He was also an avid Penn State Fan.
A funeral service will take place at noon Tuesday, Nov. 19, in Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem. Interment will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, with full military honors.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 11 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service.
