Susan Jane Brant, 67, of Oakland, Maryland, formerly of Shade Gap, went to be with the Lord Friday, March 8, 2019, at the Garrett Regional Medical Center in Oakland, Maryland.
Born March 8, 1951, in Shade Gap, she was the daughter of Lillie J. (Colyer) Miller of Shade Gap and the late Frank A. Miller.
Mrs. Brant is survived by two sons, Rev. Ryan M. Miller and wife, Christy, of Oakland, Maryland, and Justin E. Brant and wife, Mikyung “Mimi” Yeon Brant; and two grandchildren, Ryan E. and Jared M. Miller, both of Oakland, Maryland.
She is also survived by her siblings, John Miller of Neelyton, William Miller of Shade Gap and Maxine Porcelli of Chambersburg.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Miller.
Mrs. Brant was an active church member and Sunday school teacher all of her life.
She had been primarily a homemaker but also had worked in her early adult years at the former U.S. Sports, Huntingdon, and at various clerical jobs in and around the McConnellsburg area.
Mrs. Brant will be remembered for her great love for and devotion to her family.
The funeral service will be held at noon Wednesday, Feb. 13, at the Fair Ridge Assembly of God Church, Shade Gap, with the Rev. Carl Horne officiating. Interment will be made in the Fair Ridge Assembly of God Church Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the church.
