Viola May (Grove) Price, 87, Huntingdon, formerly of Mount Union, passed away Nov. 28, 2019, at home, surrounded by her family.

Born Feb. 21, 1932, in Mount Union, she was a daughter of the late Raymond Sr. and Mable (Marshal) Grove. She married Clair L. Price, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter, Judith Burke and husband, Donald; grandsons, Keith Price and fiancé, Paige Allison; Derrick Beaston and wife, Bobbi; great-grandchildren, Justin Price and wife, Jessica, Emma Beaston, Landon Allison, Aubrey Wagner, Shanee Clemens, Tyler, Aaron and Christian Hockenberry; and great-great-grandson, Lincoln Price.

Sisters Shelby Stanley and Helen Hampton and niece Nancy Snyder also survive.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond Jr., Robert, Donald and Bert Grove, and sister, Betty Tower.

Mrs. Price was of the Methodist faith.

She was a homemaker and babysitter of countless children of family and friends.

Mrs. Price loved to garden and plant flowers. She was an avid house cleaner and loved to do laundry and iron clothes. She especially loved decorating for the holidays. Most importantly she loved spending time with her family, friends and adored all of her grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E. Shirley St., Mount Union, with Joe Barrett, officiating.

Friends and family will be received Friday from 5 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
