Wanda L. Clark, 72, of Clark Road, Shirleysburg, died Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019, at UPMC Altoona.
Born June 8, 1947, in Huntingdon, she was a daughter of the late Aubrey and Helen (Shore) Thomas. She was united in marriage to Gary I. Clark who survives at their home. They were together for over 50 years.
Also surviving are four children, Edith Myers and husband, Steven, of Sterling, Nebraska, Micheal Watkins and companion, Nikki Watkin, of Mapleton, Richard Clark and wife, Sarah, of Dublin, Ohio, and Michele Fogal and husband, Kelly, of Robertsdale; 10 grandchildren, Kristyn Harshbarger, Bethany Nace, Matthew Bossinger, Shane Fogal, Ty Fogal, Ian Clark, Alanna Clark, Sean Clark, Haylee Watkin and Kamryn Watkin; four great-grandchildren, Harmony, Natalie, Kassidy and Liam.
Three sisters also survive, Diane Foster of Donation, Sue Kester of Mount Union and Noreen Varner of Florida.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Janet Harshbarger, and two brothers, James Thomas and Aubrey Thomas Jr.
Mrs. Clark attended the Pentecostal Freedom Church, Mount Union.
She had been a member of the ladies auxiliary of the Orbisonia-Rockhill Volunteer Fire Co.
During her life she was primarily a homemaker.
Those who knew her will remember she was immensely proud of her family. She loved spending time with her husband, sisters, friends, children and grandchildren. Her family and friends recall her life goal was to help others and that she was never selfish and tried to help everyone she met. She was a loving woman who gave all she could give to everyone. As her health declined she would always say she was ready to go live with God in heaven.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia. Interment will be made in the Haven Rest Memorial Park, Shirleysburg.
Friends may call at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service Thursday.
