Wayne F. Berlin, 73, of Huntingdon, passed away Thursday, Sept. 10, 2020, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born March 2, 1947, in Berwick, Columbia County, he was the son of the late Fred V. Berlin and Ann (Fidrick) Berlin. He was united in marriage to the former Janet Fetter April 4, 1971, at the First Christian Church in Berwick. She survives at home.
Also surviving are two brothers, Rod V. Berlin and wife, Susan and Fred C. Berlin, nieces Kelly Berlin Philips, Melissa Berlin and nephews Nathan Berlin and wife, Tara, Scott Berlin and wife, Jenn, Robert Berlin, Thomas Gallup and wife, Ingrid, and many great-nieces and nephews.
Mr. Berlin owned and operated mobile home parks throughout northeast and central Pennsylvania.
He had his private pilot’s license and spent many years building home-built airplanes. He also enjoyed motorcycles and built a chopper.
He enjoyed many hobbies including amateur astronomy, stamp collecting, playing guitar and banjo. He was an amateur radio operator and built several radios. He enjoyed putting on magic shows for his friends and family. He shared many of his talents at his wife’s school on occasion. He was also a Weblos leader.
He will be remembered as an intelligent, talented and fun-loving man who was a good provider, could fix and build almost anything and loved spending time with the children in his family.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today, Tuesday, Sept. 15, at the Mayo Funeral Home, 110 Chestnut St., Berwick.
