William Theodore Wilson, 83, Apt. 609, Blair House Apartments, 600 Penn St., Huntingdon, died at 5:42 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at AristaCare at Huntingdon Park, Huntingdon, where he became a resident May 13, 2020, the day following the Blair House fire.
Born June 24, 1936, at his family home in Logan Township, he was a son of the late Dean T. and Marian L. (Itinger) Wilson.
Mr. Wilson is survived by four children, Charles Wilson, Wanda Wilson, Donna Foor and Bonnie Smith, all of Huntingdon; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by five siblings, Ronald E. Wilson and Gary L. Wilson, both of Huntingdon, Mary Ayers and husband, Alfred, Mill Creek, Judy Kurtz, Petersburg, and Janet Addleman and husband, Thomas, Centre Hall; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Wilson, and two siblings, Patricia Reihart and Helen Wilson.
Mr. Wilson served in the United States Navy from 1956-1959.
He was a 1954 graduate of Juniata Valley High School.
Mr. Wilson retired in 1990 as a nursing home aide.
He was the coordinator for church services at the Blair House Apartments. He enjoyed family functions and flowers, especially house plants.
A lifetime resident of Huntingdon County, Mr. Wilson had lived at his current residence from 1994 until the fire May 12.
A private graveside service will be held at the Alexandria Presbyterian Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Mohnkern officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Cutright Funeral Homes — Smithfield Chapel, 313 Fairgrounds Road, Huntingdon.
