Dear Editor:
Sunday, Jan. 21, reminds us of the sanctity of human life. Human life is precious. From the poorest to the richest, from the weakest to the strongest, from the smartest to the not so smart, from the youngest to the oldest — all are created in God’s image and are special. Every person matters.
And every person starts in the womb. Being created in God’s image begins in the womb. Every human enters the world the same way — through the womb. Therefore every single person must be given the right to live from the very beginning. All of us get upset when we see lives lost through crime or disaster. But we think it is normal to kill millions of the most vulnerable people in what should be the safest place in the world, the womb. We must recognize the atrocity of abortion and put an end to legalized murder.
This change won’t happen because the Supreme Court makes a decision. The real problem is the heart of man. Change will only happen when hearts are changed by Jesus. The sinner must repent and receive new life by putting their faith in Jesus. Then we will love what God loves. Then we will see the sanctity of every human life. Then we will call abortion what God calls it — the sin of murder.
Who is in charge in your life? You or God? Let’s follow God and recognize the sanctity of every human life.
Sincerely
Rev. Dan Long
Saltillo
