Southern Huntingdon County High School (SHCHS) Class of 1968 members Kevin Steele, left, and Rick Knepper recently presented a plaque to the school district.This action was the class’s way of acknowledging their graduating class as the first group of students to complete all six years of their junior high and high school education at the building beginning in the fall of 1962. Accepting the plaque on behalf of the school district was high school and middle school principal Clint Heath. The SHCHS Class of 1968 has also formed a scholarship that will be awarded to a graduating senior in the amount of $500 each year.
