On August 21 of 1984, Don Hileman sank a hole-in-one at the American Legion country Club in Mount Union. It was the third of his career and came on the fifteenth hole of the course.
Three hole-in-one’s is certainly impressive but what happened in the summer of 2022 is above all else.
Hileman’s son, Jason and grandson, Ryder each sank a hole-in-one on the same course and same hole.
On July 22 of last year, Ryder was accompanied by Jason and Don where he used a 52-degree wedge to ace the par-three fifteenth hole.
A little over a month later, Jason completed the unthinkable, acing the fifteenth hole aside his son which happened to be the second of his career.
Not too many players can say they’ve tallied a hole-in-one, but close to none can say they’ve done it on the same course and hole as their lineage.
