The Calvary Christian Academy basketball teams returned to action following the holiday break by picking up wins at Centre County Christian Academy Monday. The girls (2-2) won a tight 31-28 decision, while the boys (1-2) won 32-15.

In the girls’ game, Centre County closed to within a point after three quarters, but the Conquerors won the final stanza 7-5 to preserve the victory. Lauren Peachey scored nine points to lead the way. Lauren Corbin added eight and Lacie Corbin seven. Cassandra Poor scored 11 for Centre County.

The boys led throughout their game, but pulled away in the fourth quarter to earn their first win of the season. David Donnelly led the Conquerors with 10 points. Deacon Kuhstos added eight. Kaden Irvin had 11 for Centre County.

Calvary’s girls will be on the road Thursday, traveling to Cambria County Christian School. Both teams will be in action Friday when they entertain DuBois Christian School.
