It didn’t take very long and the final result was never in doubt.

Southern Huntingdon completed its dual meet schedule Thursday evening with a 66-15 victory over visiting Juniata Valley.

Southern finished the match with 11 forfeits going its way, while the Hornets received two forfeits.

In the only bout to be wrestled, Valley’s Tony scored a reversal in the third period for a 2-0 win over Southern’s Evan Herrington.

“It wasn’t a bad season,” said Rocket coach Andy Hull. “We were 8-8 in regular season match (not including their first-round match in the District 6-AA Dual Tournament). We knew we didn’t have a lot of experience and would be very young. We had some youngsters who came a long way this season.

“Saturday will be a big test for us, We are looking forward to wrestling several more bouts and getting some competition before districts.”

Both teams will be back in action this weekend in the Garrett Scott Tournament at Juniata Valley Saturday.
