Tussey Mountain played well at times and not so good at other parts of the game at Shade Wednesday. The Titans did forge a comeback but lost 61-51.
Chad Morningstar paced the locals with 20 points. Dawson Rightenour scored 14, Jacob Henry 11, and Connor Watkins added four.
Vincent Fyock scored 26 points for the Panthers (12-5). Liam Mincek had 14 and Kaden Koleszarik 10.
Shade buried 11 three-pointers in the game.
The first quarter saw Shade hold a 15-13 edge. The Panthers pushed out to a 34-23 lead at halftime.
Fock had 21 points in the first half.
Tussey Mountain got into the game in the third quarter. Morningstar scored nine in the third and had 14 in the second half. The Titans were working the ball inside to Morningstar and outside to Rightenour.
The Titans were only down two heading to the fourth quarter. They turned the ball over three straight times to being the fourth and played catch up the rest of the way. Koleszarik netted nine points in the final frame.
Tussey Mountain is home tonight against Windber.
